The Brief

A live webcam feed and one tracked fingertip replace the mouse as the primary control.
Catalogue
Real album artwork, track metadata, and streamable previews arrive from a public music search API rather than a hardcoded sketch.
Interaction
Move the cover into Keep or Skip and hold for one second. Keyboard and button controls remain available as a fallback.
Output
Eight quick decisions resolve into a small linked playlist of the tracks you kept.
Design Decisions
A listening booth, not a tech demo
Camera vision sits behind a physical record-sorter interface. The hand model is present but secondary; the music decision stays visually dominant.
Dwell instead of pinch
A one-second hold is more legible and less error-prone than requiring a specific hand gesture. Progress bars make the selection threshold visible.
Mirror once, map once
The camera is mirrored for natural movement and the landmark coordinates are corrected to match, avoiding the swapped Like / Dislike behavior in the original prototype.
Live content with an honest fallback
The booth requests only tracks with preview audio. If camera tracking is unavailable, the same session still works with arrows or on-screen buttons.
